RideGlance Privacy Statement

Effective date: 13 September 2026

RideGlance is an unofficial Android application designed for the TENWAYS CGO800 Plus. It is an independent community project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or supported by TENWAYS.

Information collected by the developer

RideGlance does not collect, receive, transmit, sell or share personal information. The app has no Internet permission, user accounts, advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs, or cloud service.

Bluetooth access

RideGlance uses Bluetooth Low Energy to discover and connect directly to a compatible bicycle. It processes values reported by the bike, including battery level, estimated range, speed, trip statistics, odometer, light state, display or firmware identifier and bike serial identifier.

On Android 12 and later, RideGlance requests permission to scan for and connect to nearby Bluetooth devices. Bluetooth scanning is not used to derive physical location. On Android 11 and earlier, Android requires location permission for Bluetooth scanning; RideGlance does not request geographical coordinates and does not record the rider's location or route.

Information stored on the phone

RideGlance can store unit preference, active ride recording information, completed ride records and raw telemetry diagnostic captures when the user deliberately starts diagnostic capture. This information is used only to provide app features on that device and is not transmitted to the developer or a third party.

Optional support payments

RideGlance may include a voluntary link to Buy Me a Coffee. Opening that link leaves RideGlance and uses the user's web browser. RideGlance does not process or receive payment-card details. Support is optional and does not unlock app features.

Android backups

Android may include private application data in a device or Google backup according to the user's Android backup settings. RideGlance does not operate or control that backup service.

Deleting information

Users can delete locally stored RideGlance information by clearing the app's storage in Android Settings or uninstalling the app. Clearing storage also removes saved ride history and settings.

Changes to this statement

If a future version adds network access or changes how information is handled, this statement will be updated before that version is distributed.
